About us

Avenir Photonics creates a new generation of spectroscopy for portable and industrial applications. With 15 years of experience in integrated photonics, we design spectrometers that provide a unique combination of technical performance, sophisticated software, flexibility and small size at a very competitive price. We develop customized photonic engines that also include light sources, sampling optics and embedded evaluation software. Our modular approach provides flexible systems that can easily be configured for an individual application. These solutions specifically address the requirements of portable and industrial devices, bridging the gap between laboratory and field spectroscopy.

Our spectrometers are the next step into the future of embedded spectroscopy. Laboratory-grade instruments that also meet the size, price and reliability requirements for portable and industrial applications. With their proven reliability in rough conditions and compact size, our spectrometers bridge the gap between laboratory and field spectrometers.

ARIS spectrometer

With its high-throughput optical design, the ARIS spectrometer delivers 2 to 4 times better sensitivity than other spectrometers in this price range without sacrificing stray light performance. It is available in six standard wavelength ranges that can be customized using a large choice of available diffraction gratings. Its powerful microcontroller offers on-board auto exposure, averaging, buffering and sophisticated spectrum processing. With its proven reliability in rough conditions and compact size, the ARIS bridges the gap between laboratory and field spectrometers.

SIENA spectrometer

The SIENA spectrometer takes near-infrared spectroscopy to a new level. For the first time it offers wavelength ranges up to 2100 nm with an uncooled InGaAs array sensor. The SIENA spectrometer delivers the technical performance for precise measurements at a price suitable for integration in portable and industrial sensors. Large absorbance values can be accurately measured due to its superior sensitivity, optimized stray light suppression and high dynamic range. Delivering exceptional performance at an unprecedented price, the SIENA opens up countless new possibilities for NIR-based sensors.

NYLIS spectrometer

The NYLIS spectrometer is the first compact Czerny-Turner array spectrometer offering resolutions down to 0.05 nm (FWHM). Based on the popular ARIS spectrometer, the NYLIS features a larger focal length of 120 nm in a longer housing. This enables better optical imaging as well as smaller wavelength ranges. Both result in spectral resolutions that are unprecedented at this size. It is primarily intended for applications that require high resolution, for example measuring laser radiation. The NYLIS is available in 12 standard wavelength ranges that can be customized for the requirements of individual applications.
